* PLEASE NOTE * All following details referring to the Little Infinite Frequency Expander (L2) are subject to on-going development. Final designs & specifications may differ from those indicated here.
A Brief Introduction to L2
L2 will be available in several formats. It will follow the concept of the first incarnation of LIFE in the form of a hand held device. There have been several requests for a rack mount version (to be compatible with the modular synthesiser systems available from other manufacturers). We hope to make this version available as well.
Versions of L2 (as pictured on the left) have been undergoing field trials. Feedback has been very positive and comments received are being used to finalise the design.
Further details of the control surface on L2 are listed below. Please note that the control knobs and surface finish of the production version of L2 will differ to those shown in this image.

One of the priorities when designing LIFE, was to develop a device that could be used by anybody, whatever their technical or musical abilities.
One day a relative called in, bringing along with him his six-year-old daughter. He was keen to try out L2. It wasn’t long before his daughter wanted to join in and play along with her father. With her own L2 to experiment with, she was soon making here own sounds and happily playing along with everybody, creating what she referred to as ‘bouncy music’.
We were pleased to see her enjoying herself, as it reinforced our belief that LIFE could indeed be used by anybody, whatever their technical or musical abilities or age!
To keep things together, one L2 acted as a master device and all others were synced to it during the ‘session’ (you can see the link cables emerging from the top of the L2s in the pictures).
This is just a quick introduction to L2. Expect to find more information/sound samples/pictures/etc here, as and when available.
LIFE is just the beginning, other ideas are under development to enhance and diversify the possibilities that LIFE presents.
